After only three years of professional instruction from renowned cellists Jurgen De lemos, and Harvey Shapiro of the Julliard School, eighteen-year-old cellist Oswald Lehnert III made his solo concert debut with the Denver Symphony Orchestra.  As a founding member of the internationally award winning Premiat Trio, he toured cities in Europe, Asia, South America, The Caribbean, and the United States.  The Premiat Trio later became The Trio of Residence at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.

In 1989 the Trio was chosen to represent the United States after winning the International Artistic Ambassador Competition, leading to an extensive 45-concert tour in South America, including performances of Beethoven Triple Concerto with the famed Simón Bolívar Orchestra of Venezuela.  Additionally, Ozzi gave concerts on the Royal Viking Cruise Lines Classical Music Series.  In 1995 he formed the Lehnert Trio with his parents, Oswald Lehnert II, and Doris Pridonoff Lehnert, and with them, continues to play the world over.
